We were born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. Soon after we were married, an opportunity presented itself to us. We took a huge step in faith and decided to become land lords, purchasing a beautiful historical home in a quaint village that we never heard of before, Franklinville, NY.
Why, some might ask, would we own a rental property so far away. We felt the need to invest our money wisely! No need for fancy furniture, or new cars with hefty payments and certainly no time for expensive vacations, "We Were Real Estate Investors"!!! (Anyone who owns a multi-family dwelling and currently rents to 3 or more families will see the humor in this.)
Needless to say many years and several tenants later we found ourselves with a large empty house needing a huge amount of tender loving care. Thank God for his strength, courage and faithfulness during the days ahead. And many thanks to our family and friends who helped and supported us.
In 1995 "Heart of Franklinville"was opened. Early on our focus leaned more towards antiques and gifts with garden statuary as an extra. After 10 years trying many new and different ideas from gourmet coffee and teas to Christmas collectibles and cards, we realized we should stick with what we love and know best.....Producing Garden Statuary. Since the beginning our business has grown from selling a few statues in our yard to becoming one of the leading producers of concrete garden statuary in Western New York.Experimenting for the first 5 years with different finishes, we are very pleased with the aged patina that we have created. Each piece is carefully worked on by hand and after finishes are applied, we coat each piece with a projective concrete sealer, offering a very different and unique look that our customers have come to love. And we are proud to say our products are HAND CRAFTED IN THE USA !!!
